The National Capital Kennel Club (NCKC) meets at 7:30 PM on the first Wednesday of every month, hosting virtual and in person meetings. Meetings feature club business as well as engaging programs designed to inform, educate, and strengthen our dog‑loving community.
We celebrate together at our annual dinner each May and our holiday party each January.
We welcome new members who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and embrace the mission of NCKC.
We welcome both new and experienced exhibitors. Members are criticial to the success of National Capital Kennel Club to sustain our 100 year mission of supporting the sport of pure-bred dogs. AKC judges, breeders and owner handlers make up our membership. You will enjoy monthly meetings, seminars, invitations to network at Board dinners and our annual holiday dinner along with working and learning how dog shows operate.

Each applicant for membership must attend at least one club meeting prior to submitting an application for membership, and two meetings prior to becoming a member. Applicants must agree to abide by the NCKC Constitution and Bylaws and the rules of the American Kennel Club. Annual membership is $25 and dues notices are sent out annually with a due date of December 31. Dues may be sent electronically to our treasuer. New members must complete membership application, have two club member endorsements, and attend two club meetings before being eligible for a membership vote.
